Affordable Housing Development Corporation (AHDC) is a non-profit Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) whose mission is to improve housing, neighborhood and economic conditions for individuals, families and the communities we serve within Madison County, Illinois.

AHDC's primary mission is to build new, safe and affordable single-family homes for income-eligible individuals and families.
AHDC is working to improve the housing stock within the communities we serve, thus offering more choices for income eligible individuals and families while also improving the aesthetics of the neighborhood.
AHDC is working to increase the value of real estate by adding new, taxable property which often replaces vacant and dilapidated homes, thus helping to improve the overall economic condition of the communities we serve.
AHDC is working to improve the economic conditions of the individual/families of Madison County by assisting them with the purchase of a home, an asset, they may not have had the opportunity to purchase previously.

New Homes For Sale

Affordable Housing Development Corporation (AHDC) is pleased to announce the completion of the construction of two single-family homes located at 326 Church Street and 331 Church Street in East Alton. The homes were built utiling the federal Neighborhood Stabillization Program (NSP). AHDC is currently seeking income-qualified persons interested in purchasing the homes. Up to $8,000 in downpayment/closing cost assistance is available for qualified purchaser's whose income is at or below 120% ami and up to $10,000 is available to those whose income is at or below 80% ami.
